GOP Mama & the Sell-Outs aka The Media
Pretty sure if you are even slightly clever, you can figure out how I feel about the media these days....I am fed up!
And, it's funny, because apparently I completely disagree with the White House. Where I feel that FOX News may be one of the last legitimate cable news channels, apparently the WH feels that they are comparable to terrorists. Ok, ok, no one has actually come out and said, " FOX News is terrorists", but they sure have singled FOX out and are doing their best to divert viewers from watching.
Why?
Ok, maybe no one on FOX has a tingle down their leg when they hear President Obama speak.
And, maybe they don't drool over his "chiseled pecs".
But, they do keep it real and talk about legitimate stories like Van Jones and the corruption of ACORN.
Why try to discredit one of the only news stations that actually tries to step outside of party lines and just deliver the news? Even Saturday Night Live has been showing more creditability than CNN, who took it upon themselves to actually FACT CHECKED a skit that poked fun of President Obama.
Seriously????
And, now, rumor has it that newspapers may be seeking a bailout to help with their dismal readership. Surely not going to try to remedy that one with decent writing, right? Nope.
Go straight for the bail-out and forget about ethics.
Yeah, because 99% of the papers and news stations aren't being "bought" enough. Let's let the government own them and surely we will continue to get "unbiased" news, just like in Cuba.

GOP Mama + 9 Kids = 1 Less Rainforest
Ok, Ok, I have a confession to make...I am not an environmentalist.
As a matter of fact, I am almost 100% certain that my family of 11 has single-handedly destroyed the rainforest simply by the amount of toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, napkins, diapers, etc. that we use in just a year's span.
Not something I am overly proud of, just stating the facts.
I'd love to say that we will stop using those products, or use less, to help conserve and to "save" the environment, but who am I kidding? I use paper products to make my life easier.
Call me selfish.
Go ahead.
I can take it.
It's not that I don't care. Of course I do.
But, I can only do what is reasonably possible for me to do as a human being,
as an American.
I understand the desire to have us take care of our planet, but I do not agree that it should be mandated. I do not agree that the government should be able to tell me what foods I can eat, what temperature my house should be set at, what type of fuel I can use, or what type of car I should drive, which, btw, have you ever seen an environmentally friendly vehicle that seats 11? I'm just sayin'.
No, I don't need the government to tell me how I can help the environment. I think I do just fine on my own.
I recycle, even though I live in a state that doesn't.
I use organic or natural products.
My children hand down their clothes to one another.
I set my thermostat at 62 degrees in the winter and 77 degrees in the summer. I do this not because I like to freeze in the winter or that I like to sweat in the summer, but because it's what I can afford and I certainly don't need anyone but my bank account to tell me so.
No, I don't need the government telling me how I can be more environmentally conscious. Nope, not until they come to my home and live in my house, on my budget.
Thanks, but no thanks.
I know "they" think they know better, but seriously, who are they kidding?
Until "they" stop wasting 1000+ pages of bloviation on bills that they never read before signing into law, they will not only not have my respect, but they won't have my ear either.

Breaking News (In Case You Missed It): Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize
Announced early in the morning today, Barak Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. He remarked that he "will accept this award as a call to action" to help bring about a more stable world."I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel committee," Obama said in a short speech, "To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who have been honored by this prize."
The Nobel Committee announced that Obama won the prize "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," saying it had "attached special importance to Obama's vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons."
Thorbjoern Jagland, the Chairman of the Nobel Committee, commented, "Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," also remarking, "In the past year, Obama has been a key person for important initiatives in the U.N. for nuclear disarmament and to set a completely new agenda for the Muslim world and East-West relations."
He then added that the committee endorsed "Obama's appeal that 'Now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges.' "
Also worth noting-the runners up include, among many others, a doctor who founded a hospital to treat victims of sexual violence in the Congo, and a French Columbian ex-hostage and freedom fighter.
